In the latest sign of Passive House’s mainstream arrival, CNN featured our friend and frequent-collaborator Michael Ingui today in an excellent TV spot and article about the health, comfort, and environmental benefits of historic Passive House retrofits. The CNN Business story, “Making an old home healthier for you and the environment,” showcases Baxt Ingui Architects-designed projects, including Garden Place, the first Passive House retrofit of an historic landmark building in New York City. All projects in the piece feature Zola’s windows, with lots of great angles of our American Heritage SDH™ simulated double hung windows. The spot provides a great, accessible primer on Passive House design—well worth a view!
The thermal performance of your building’s walls is only as strong as the weakest link, and windows are too often that weak link.
