About American Heritage SDH™ Windows
American Heritage SDH™ windows combine a lower tilt & turn assembly with a fixed upper. Providing outstanding thermal and acoustic performance, modern functionality, and the style and proportions of a traditional double hung window.
American Heritage SDH™ has been approved by many historic preservation commissions, including Brooklyn and Manhattan commissions.
Zola's American Heritage SDH™
A replica-quality tribute to the historic double hung window, our Simulated Double Hung (SDH™) windows are ideal for historic Passive House retrofits. Increased energy efficiency and minimized external noise are just two of the many advantages while maintaining the look of a historic double hung.

American Heritage SDH™
Our SDH™ Simulated Double Hung windows feature concealed multipoint hardware, double or triple glazing, and R-7 performance overall (triple glazed option). With outstanding thermal and acoustic performance, modern functionality, and the style and proportions of a traditional double hung window they're perfect for historic retrofits.

American Heritage SLIM SDH™
Our SLIM SDH™ Simulated Double Hung windows feature all of the same incredible qualities as our standard SDH™ offering, but with reduced profile width. This results in a more minimal presence while still offering a traditional double hung appearance.
Zola's Wood Lines
Our Classic Wood™ and Thermo Wood™ lines optimize the natural qualities of wood to maximize both beauty and performance.

Thermo Wood™
Zola Thermo Wood™ is a classic choice for high performance homes. With R-11 glass standard in an industry-leading 18mm spacer thickness, Thermo Wood can be offered in extremely large sizes.

Classic Wood™
Offered in the highly durable Meranti Wood, Zola’s Classic Wood™ line comes with a double pane and versatile array of staining options. The choice for beautiful projects seeking the sophistication and natural appeal of wood, this line is still more energy efficient than typical American window and door designs.

An Experience You Can Rely On
I’ve been most impressed with our whole Zola experience from sales, ordering and now to delivery and on-site support. Congratulations on assembling such a professional team and making what is typically a complicated and challenging process run so smoothly. As a self-styled ‘window aficionado’ I can’t tell you how happy that makes me.

Finger-Jointed Pine is our standard option. For upgraded wood options we offer Clear Pine, Meranti, Spruce, and White Oak.

Pine, Clear
Clear pine has a beautiful, smooth and knot-free appearance. Versatile for high value carpentry, especially trim work and frames.

Oak
A classic wood, Oak is used in broad applications, particularly in fine furniture.

Meranti
A straight-grained hardwood, Meranti is valued as veneer, trim, and framing.

Pine, Finger-Jointed
Finger-jointed pine uses a woodworking joint made of sets of “fingers” cut into two pieces of wood which then interlock.

Spruce
One of the world’s best known wood species, Spruce is prized for its straight, fine-grained wood.
Wood Stains
Zola ships all windows fully finished, either stained or painted, for a superior, even, and durable finish. The stains shown here are Zola’s most popular, but represent a small subset of the full catalog of stains available.
