Clad wood windows and doors combine the warmth and design flexibility of wood windows with the maintenance-free service life of an aluminum outer shell. The top options in our clad wood line are Passive House certified.

In addition to being the highest performing of Zola’s window materials, clad wood offers tremendous design flexibility. Frames can be narrowed to just two inches, and the tactile quality of the crafted wood brings warmth and coziness to clean, modern design. Our clad wood line is also available as curtain wall.

Handles

Zola offers a wide selection of hardware. Choose standard aluminum or upgrade to modern stainless steel or timeless chrome. For the very finest selection, consider Zolini handles, hand-crafted in Italy.

Stainless Steel

Aluminum

Standard handle made from coated aluminum, light aluminum color. Available for all window, door, and folding wall systems.

Dark Bronze

Standard handle made from coated aluminum, dark bronze color. Available for Tilt & Turn windows only. For doors, combine with Zolini handles or switch to light bronze color.

Titanium

Standard handle made from coated aluminum, titanium color. Available for all window, door, and folding wall systems.

Light Bronze

Standard handle made from coated aluminum, light bronze color. (Not available for BreezePanel™ folding wall systems.)

Polished Chrome

Our chrome-plated handle provides a polished mirror finish. (Not available in terrace or entry doors, tilt-first locking windows, BreezePanel™ folding wall systems, or lift slide doors.)

Zolini

Custom crafted for you at our foundry in Italy, Zolini handles are available in four colors: dark bronze, light bronze, green aged bronze, and real silver plated. (Not available for BreezePanel™ folding wall systems.)

Wood Species

Finger-Jointed Pine is our standard option. For upgraded wood options we offer Clear Pine, Meranti, Fir, European Oak, and Larch.

Pine, Clear

Clear pine has a beautiful, smooth and knot-free appearance. Versatile for high value carpentry, especially trim work and frames.

Oak

A classic wood, Oak is used in broad applications, particularly in fine furniture.

Meranti

A straight-grained hardwood, Meranti is valued as veneer, trim, and framing.

Pine, Finger-Jointed

Finger-jointed pine uses a woodworking joint made of sets of “fingers” cut into two pieces of wood which then interlock.

Spruce

One of the world’s best know wood species, Fir is prized for its straight, fine-grained wood.
